10GBase Ethernet is the most recent and fastest of the Ethernet standards. It's intended to connect servers or switches over short distances, up to 50 feet, using coaxial cable. It gets its name because it is intended to run over CX4, or 4 pairs of twinaxial copper wiring. It has a nominal data rate of 10Gbit/sec, 10 times as fast as gigabit Ethernet. It is also referred to as 802.3ak.

TMC's CX4 cables are available is various lengths ranging from .5 to 15 meters. CX4 cables are assembled with premium Madison 8 pair, and 100 ohm. For the CX4 cable standard connector type is the ejector style latch used for Infiniband SFF-8470, but configurations with thumbscrews or side squeeze latches are also available.
